Solutions · The Digenixa Framework
Bespoke software on proven foundations
Most agencies either squeeze your business into a template or reinvent every build from scratch — and you pay for it either way. The Digenixa Framework is the third way: a proven method, a proven platform and standards every build is held to, with everything that makes your business different built on top.
Why a framework
Nobody should pay to rebuild a login page
Every business application needs the same unglamorous foundations — secure accounts, a place for your customers, a console for your team, reliable notifications, somewhere safe to run. None of that is what makes your business different, yet on a from-scratch build it's where a surprising share of the budget goes.
So we built those foundations once, proved them across real applications, and hold them to a written set of standards. Your budget goes on the part that's actually yours.
- Faster to a first working version — we start from proven ground, not a blank file.
- Fewer surprises — the foundations have already been through real use.
- Secure by default — the standards apply whether or not anyone remembers to ask.
- Still entirely yours — your code, your data, no lock-in.
Layer 1 · Method
How we deliver — with a decision at every gate
Five phases, each ending in something you can see and a decision you make. Nothing moves forward on an assumption.
Understand the work before writing any
We learn how your business really runs — including the workarounds nobody writes down — and agree what success looks like in terms you'd actually measure.
See it before we build it
A clickable prototype on your own phone within days. Because the Core already exists, the prototype can sit on real foundations rather than being thrown away afterwards.
The most valuable part first
We build in usable slices, starting with whatever saves you the most. You follow progress on a private preview link, with a walkthrough each week.
Go live, minus the drama
Hosting, HTTPS, moving your existing data across and training your team. The Standards checks run before launch, not after the first problem.
Looked after, and still improving
Monitoring, backups and updates in the background, plus a regular review of what's earning its keep and what's worth building next.
Layer 2 · Core
The platform every build starts from
The foundations that business applications keep needing — built once, proven in real use, then shaped to fit you.
Secure accounts
Hashed passwords, invite-link onboarding so nobody emails a password, throttled sign-in attempts and sessions that expire.
Client portal
A private place for your customers: progress, documents, milestone sign-offs and support tickets, under your brand.
Staff console
Your team's side: enquiries and leads with a clear workflow, clients, projects, documents and exports.
AI layer
Assistants that answer customers and draft replies for your team — and a graceful fallback so the system keeps working if the AI service doesn't.
Notifications
Alerts to you and updates to your customers, with anything that fails to send logged rather than silently lost.
Data & hosting
A fast, zero-maintenance database that's simple to back up, running on UK servers we manage, with automatic HTTPS.
Why this stack
Deliberately few moving parts
The Core is written in Python using only its standard library, with a SQLite database. That's a choice, not a shortcut — and it's the question a technical reviewer should ask first, so here's the answer up front.
- No third-party packages in the core — no supply-chain risk, and nothing that breaks when someone else ships an update.
- A single-file database — quick, needs no administration and backs up by copying one file.
- Small, readable code — any competent Python developer can pick it up. You're never dependent on us.
- Inexpensive to run — lean hosting costs you keep for the life of the system.
Where it fits
Honest about what it's for
The framework is built for business applications running on a single server: client portals, CRMs, booking and quoting systems, operations and workflow tools. That covers what most growing businesses need.
If your project needs something different — very high traffic, or a specialist platform — we'll tell you at discovery and plan it properly, rather than bend the framework to fit and hope.
Layer 3 · Standards
The rules every build is held to
Most of these come from lessons learned the hard way. They're written down so they apply every time, not only when someone remembers.
Private stays private
Passwords, keys, databases and source code are never reachable from the web — tested before every launch, including the tricks people use to get around a simple block.
Real certificates, verified
HTTPS from a trusted authority, confirmed on the live site rather than assumed from a configuration file.
AI always has a fallback
If an AI service is slow or unavailable, your system still does its job. Nothing important depends on a single outside service.
Nothing silently lost
A notification that fails to send is recorded, so a missed enquiry becomes a visible problem, not an invisible one.
People approve what customers see
AI can draft a reply or a quote. A person on your team checks it and sends it.
Accounts done properly
Hashed passwords, limited sign-in attempts and expiring sessions — as standard, not as a paid extra.
Usable by everyone
Readable contrast, keyboard-friendly controls and layouts tested at phone widths as well as on a desktop.
Honest numbers
We don't publish a statistic we can't back up. Where a figure is an estimate, we say so on the page.
You own it
Your code and your data belong to you, documented so another developer could take it on.
How it compares
The third way
| Template builder | Built from scratch | The Digenixa Framework | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Speed to a first working version | Fast | Slow | Fast |
| Shaped around how you work | Rarely | Yes | Yes |
| Foundations already proven in use | Generic | New every time | Yes |
| Security baseline | Depends on the platform | Depends on the team | Written standards |
| Who owns the code | Often the platform | Usually you | You |
| Running costs | Ongoing subscriptions | Varies | Lean and predictable |
Proven in practice
Not a theory — already in use
These figures describe the applications we've already built on these foundations.
For your technical reviewer
Questions worth asking
Isn't this just a template with our logo on it?
No. A template decides how your business should work. The framework only supplies the parts every business application needs regardless — accounts, a portal, a console, notifications, hosting. Everything about how your business actually operates is built specifically for you on top.
What exactly is it built on?
Python using only its standard library, a SQLite database, running on UK-based servers we manage with automatic HTTPS. There are no third-party packages in the core, which removes a whole category of security and maintenance risk.
Will it cope as we grow?
It's designed for business applications on a single server, which comfortably covers most growing businesses' portals, CRMs and operational tools. If we expect your project to outgrow that, we'll say so during discovery and plan for it, rather than find out after launch.
Do we own the code and the data?
Yes. Your application's code and all of your data are yours.
What happens if Digenixa isn't around?
The code is small, readable, standard Python with no unusual dependencies, and it's documented at handover. Any competent Python developer could take it on.
Can it work with the tools we already use?
Usually, yes. We connect to your existing systems — accounts packages, calendars, email, CRMs — rather than asking you to replace them, and we'll confirm what's possible during discovery.
